      I think wild grain rice is something a bit different than what I have. I have like a regular white rice except it has not been processed the same way and so it's not white but has the natural brown color. I think the wild rice is actually a completely different plant. But regardless anything that's with apples and pecans sounds delicious to me 😊

    This is a great video! Sourdough starter is so resilient. I never thought about keeping it in the fridge unfed for up to two weeks. I might test that out. The most I've let it sleep in the fridge is for a week. I love the message about not going for perfection!! I don't know if this will help with your oven and cooking times, but if it helps, after my sourdough has risen, I just shape it and put it in a cast iron dutch oven, and then I put that in the fridge overnight to proof. The next day, usually the morning, I pull out the cold dutch oven, score the bread, put the lid back on, and then bake it without preheating at 415 F. I bake it for an hour and a half. Then I remove the lid and let it cook for another 20 minutes. My oven is cheap, so others might find a lower temp works better for them.

    • @annabaginova01
      @annabaginova01 5 днів тому

      It really is super resilient, I've seen a video where the guy showed that he kept a tiny amount in the fridge for something like 56 days and it was still working after that... Perfection is nice but it does take a lot of time and energy that I think most of us would rather spend on other things :) It's really interesting how you do the whole baking process, I've never heard of such an approach. I think I will try that to see how that works for me. It sounds like the overall timing is about the same in the end but with the lower temperature it should be a lot less demanding on the oven.

    • @CSeanBurns
      @CSeanBurns 5 днів тому

      @@annabaginova01 Yeah, I like to make nice bread, but I don't need it to be cover magazine bread! I think your message is so important because it makes baking bread more accessible. The main reason I bake sourdough is because my kids and I eat it a lot and making my own saves money, tastes better, and all that. I also make a sourdough sandwich loaf style bread. I follow the same general process through proofing but I proof it in the fridge overnight in a loaf pan on wax paper with a wet towel on it. I do preheat the oven to 415F for this one and add an additional pan with water in it. Before placing in the oven, I brush the top of the dough with an egg wash and then sprinkle sesame seeds on it. I bake that only for an hour uncovered and rotate the pan after the first 30 minutes. Turns out well, too. The crust is not so thick and sometimes that's nice for certain meals. I'll look forward to your video on your process. I love learning and trying new methods!

    Moc vám děkuji za toto video, paní Baginová! Taky jsem původně divák vašich videí o macramé, ale velmi ráda zůstávám dál. Sdílíte s námi užitečné tipy, které člověku neřekne sám o sobě žádný recept, časopis nebo televizní pořad. Už jen ty mražené balíčky zeleniny připravené na vaření polévky - mrkev mi v lednici vždycky zgumovatí a tohle mě přiznám se, vůbec nenapadlo. Taky jste mi minulým videem dodala odvahu znovu se pustit do přípravy domácího kvasového chleba (toužila jsem po dokonalosti). A mimochodem, máte moc krásnou kuchyň. Jestli mohu - ten koberec u linky vypadá hrozně prakticky a příjemně; můžete prosím naznačit, kde takový člověk sežene? Ještě jednou díky a těším se na další videa a co dalšího se od vás naučím 🙂

      Tak přesně kvůli takovým komentářům, jako je tenhle váš, mě baví dělat videa 😊 Když vidím, že to, co tady sdílím někomu pomáhá a inspiruje, takže moc děkuji, že jste mi ho napsala! Ty balíčky se zeleninou mě teď napadly poprvé, předtím jsem měla úplně stejný problém s tou mrkví v lednici. O chlebu budu dělat ještě pár videí, tak snad vám předám ještě pár dalších užitečných informací. Co se týče koberce, tak ten nás už zachránil od spousty fleků, které se z té dřevěné podlahy dostávají opravdu špatně. Bohužel si nepamatuji, odkud ho mám, ale většinou nakupuji koberce buďto v H&M anebo na stránce rugvista.cz, tak mají výběr opravdu velký.

      @@annabaginova01 Taková milá a poctivě sepsaná odpověď. Ani nevíte, jak potěšila. I tip na koberec mám. Dneska ve světě nakašírovaných influencerů přetékajících placenými spolupracemi se člověk skoro bojí zeptat. Jste fakt skvělá a v nejlepším smyslu normální - nepředstíráte, že jste se se znalostí "hacku" s mrkví 🙂už narodila nebo že se vám vždycky všechno nadlidsky povede napoprvé (věřím, že téměř ano, ale ten koláč nebo jak jste čistila ta dřívka na macramé, to bylo roztomilé a člověk se v tom najde). Ať vás vaše tvorba pořád takhle baví a přináší vám radost.

    • @annabaginova01
      @annabaginova01 5 днів тому

      Slovo "nakašírovaný" jsem teda slyšela prvně :D Předpokládám, že to pro ně není kompliment. Jsem moc ráda, že to všechno takhle vnímáte. Pro mě je vždycky trochu těžké publikovat něco, co se mi nepovedlo nebo co mi přijde normální a bežné, protože mám pocit, že to nikoho nebude zajímat a nebo, že když dělám chyby, tak co bych asi tak mohla ostatní naučit, když to sama pořádně neumím. A jenom ještě poznámka k těm spoluprácím (možná až moc dlouhá 😅). Mě to taky strašně otravuje to pořád slyšet z každého videa, ale zároveň to naprosto chápu. Peníze čistě z UA-cam (=z reklamy na videích) nejsou nic zázračného, pokud nemáte miliony odběratelů. Takže když si chce člověk trochu vydělat, tak si musí zajistit ještě nějaký další příjem a spolupráce jsou asi pro většinu ta nejschůdnější cesta. Pokud by se našla příležitost, která by mi dávala smysl, tak bych do toho šla taky. Vzhledem k tomu, že přítel zajišťuje veškerý příjem naší domácnosti, tak mám ten luxus a můžu si dovolit vybírat a čekat až přijde "ta pravá". Samozřejmě jsou určitě lidi, kteří to zbytečně přehánějí a dělají to opravdu neeticky, ale myslím si, že pro většinu je to holt součást jejich práce... Ještě jednou děkuju za super komentář a taky vám přeju ať se daří 😊

    • @kynareth2074
      @kynareth2074 5 днів тому

      @@annabaginova01 :-) To také musím ještě doplnit. Přesně tak, myslím tvůrce, jejichž každá druhá věta je reklama a už se na to ani nedá koukat. Taky jsem se u psaní věty "ať vám přináší radost" vnitřně na chvíli zarazila, že byste možná chtěla, aby tvorba přinášela i výdělek, ale psát jsem to nechtěla, protože to je na každém, jak si to nastaví. Sama se snažím někde něco tvořit a kladu si podobné otázky. Takže chápu, že člověk chce nebo i musí tolik investovaného času (toho nejcennějšího, co máme) a úsilí proměnit ve více než dobrý pocit. A je dobře, že možnosti jsou. Ať se vám daří i v tomto aspektu a jste spokojená. Ani se spolupracemi určitě nebudete nikdy nakašírovaná, tak jsem v klidu 🙂Kašírování=falešné napodobování, předstírání neexistujícího. A děkuju za přání!

Also there is this app in our country that shows you a map of your area with all the people that are willing to give someone a part of their starter. So even if I didn't get it at the course I would just contact one of those people and get it from them. Maybe there is something similar in your country...? But I could do like a "sourdough starter 101" video where I would talk about all the stuff you need to know about the starter and how to work with it. I think you just gave me an idea for one of my next videos, thank you 😊

    I can appreciate you enjoy cooking things that you like bit with so many people being overweight sugars and carbs from pasta, veggies, fruit are basically sugar. About 95% of foods here in US are considered frankenfoods basically. Have lots of ingredients and seed oils. Real foods are 1 ingredient not a list of ingredients nobody can pronounce. Good luck on your cooking channel. Your macrame is beautiful and will watch future videos of your creations

      Thank you 🙂 And I definitely agree that there is an obesity problem, not just in the US. For me it’s about the balance I was talking about - as long as I am eating plenty of healthy foods (and moving and sleeping well which I haven’t mentioned in the video) then I can also eat the not-so-healthy every once in a while. At least that’s what is working for me right now 😌 It’s the first time I’ve heard the term frankenfoods, but I think it describes well well the “food” that you can find in grocery stores these days.

I guess my point is to get views on videos...people watch things they are interested in and not so much what creator is interested in. As for the fast meals I will definitely do more videos on that in the future so that’s something you can look forward to 😌

    Are you still doing some macrame? Do you plan to return to it ever?

    • @annabaginova01
      @annabaginova01 17 днів тому

      I haven’t done any macrame in quite a while now and I don’t have any specific plans to return to it at the moment. But I did keep all of my macrame equipment so maybe one day I will pick it up again 😌

    Love your video today!! I have some tips for you too.. cheese... Buy the blocks, grate them, portion it out or put it all together collectively and use a FoodSaver.. it will last way longer than the expiration date.. and then I put them in the freezer and I'll pull out one package when needed and put it in the fridge.. I leave a little extra bag space so that when I need the cheese I'll cut the top off where it was sealed pull out what I need and then I just throw it on the FoodSaver again and toss it in the fridge. I use my FoodSaver for everything... When I bring home packages of ground turkey or chicken breast or ground beef then I pull it out of its original package and I put them in FoodSaver bags and throw them in the freezer.. same with like nuts, chocolate chips and various other things . Actually anything that can go into a FoodSaver I do it lol I've never had lard on hand but avocado oil has a much higher smoking point then olive oil and butter does.. just another one that you can try.. 😊

      Thanks for the tip! I have thought about a FoodSaver before, my mom has one and she uses it quite often as well so maybe I will get to it one day as well. I am definitely trying to use my freezer to its full potential now that I've discovered what a life saver it is 😄 The thing is my freezer is not that big and so I easily fill it up with a few bags of fruit and vegetables, some meat, maybe some leftovers and some bread and there isn't all that much room for more. So I prefer to use it for things which would have a very short life span if I kept them in the fridge instead. As for the avocado oil the thing is I don't like the taste of it so that's why I prefer to use lard when cooking, sometimes I will use rapeseed oil as well since that one doesn't have any taste to it.

    3:31 I’m wanting to use a limb from my woods that is wrapped with dead vines. I want to keep the bark and vines but I’m not sure how to prepare it. Any suggestions for debugging and then sealing?

    THANK YOU!!! I've been working at this double hitch half knot for three days. As you mentioned, holding the travel cord at the angle you want is absolutely key and I've never seen it in any other video as I was researching this. Lovely!

    Hey there! I'm just starting this and at 5 minutes - you state you had to remove to cords?? So, should I remove two as well to keep up with the rest of the tutorial? I'm confused? Thank you ;-)
